Tri County Free Fair - Herington, KS

Last week I traveled to Herington, KS to photograph the Tri County Free Fair.  It turned out to be the perfect place to start my Kansas fair tour.  It happened to be a big, historic day for the city.  It was Herington's 125th anniversary and also the 65th annual Tri County Free Fair.  Herington is way out in the middle of nowhere and it just oozes rural, small town goodness.  The day was filled with all kinds of memorable moments.  I got called "Young Feller" by an 84 year old man, went to my very first rodeo(amazing!), ate pulled pork sandwiches with the locals, pet some goats, and met some really nice folks.  Here are some images from the day...
